Devotion without misleading promises

Religious artwork can support remembrance, reflection and a devotional atmosphere, but it should not be presented as a guaranteed source of prosperity, healing, protection, Vastu correction or any other result. Historical and symbolic explanations are provided carefully, while exact religious practice should follow the customer’s family tradition or trusted spiritual guidance.

Religious Wall Art: Frequently Asked Questions

Where should religious wall art be displayed?

Suitable locations include a home mandir, prayer room, living room, entrance foyer, meditation area, study, office, reception or another clean common area. The artwork should have sufficient wall space, suitable lighting and a respectful viewing position.

Where should deity or sacred-figure artwork not be placed?

We do not recommend deity, guru, sacred-figure or explicitly religious artwork for bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, powder rooms or washroom areas. These subjects should be reserved for clean and respectful prayer, shared or professional spaces.

Are these handmade paintings?

Unless a product page specifically states otherwise, these are high-quality printed artworks rather than original handmade paintings. Brushwork, gold, stone, fabric, relief, embroidery and embossed appearances are printed visual effects unless physical embellishment is clearly mentioned.

What canvas and printing specifications are used?

Designs are printed on specially coated 380 GSM cotton canvas. Production settings are selected according to artwork tonal range, skin tones, dark-area detail and colour balance. Final appearance can vary slightly from screens because displays emit light while canvas reflects room light.

How do I choose the correct size?

For artwork above a sofa or console, the finished width commonly works best at roughly 60% to 75% of the furniture width. Facial features, hand gestures, symbols and ornamental borders also require enough physical size to remain clear. Share a straight wall photograph and measurements for project guidance.

Can the artwork be resized or changed to another orientation?

Where technically feasible, size, crop, orientation, colour direction and framing may be adapted. Sacred faces, hands, mudras, symbols, crowns and borders are not stretched indiscriminately. A different aspect ratio may require controlled cropping, background extension or recomposition.

Which frame is most suitable?

Gallery wrap provides a clean minimal finish. Black floater frames suit contemporary and high-contrast designs, while gold or warmer finishes often complement Pichwai, Shrinathji and heritage-inspired compositions. Availability depends on the product and size.

Does the artwork arrive ready to hang?

Yes. Finished artwork is supplied ready to hang according to the selected construction. Wall hardware must still be chosen according to the wall material, artwork weight and installation conditions.

How should the artwork be cleaned?

Remove loose dust with a clean soft cloth. When required, use a slightly damp cloth with light pressure and dry immediately. Do not use petrol, thinner, alcohol-based solvent, glass cleaner, abrasive pads or harsh chemicals. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, water exposure and high humidity.

Can Paper Plane Design handle bulk or hospitality requirements?

Yes. Our manufacturing background supports coordinated quantities for architects, interior designers, offices, hotels, resorts, institutions and gifting projects. Feasibility depends on artwork rights, size, construction, quantity, production schedule and delivery location.

What should I do if the artwork arrives damaged or incorrect?

Contact us promptly with the order details, outer-packaging photographs and clear images of the issue. Approved claims for courier damage, manufacturing defect or incorrect supply are handled through replacement or an appropriate refund according to the circumstances and applicable policy.

Need technical or placement guidance?

Send the selected artwork, wall dimensions and a straight photograph of the space. Our in-house team can guide you on respectful placement, proportion, orientation, construction and feasible customisation.
